Document Controller (Hoofddorp)

Organization

Since its foundation in 1978, Bluewater has built a technological lead specialising in design, development, lease and operation of tanker-based production and storage systems, and has become a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems.

Bluewater currently owns and operates a number of Floating Production Storage and Offloading Systems (FPSOs): the Glas Dowr, the Aoka Mizu, the Bleo Holm, the Hæwene Brim and Munin, which are producing in the UK, Norwegian Sector and Asia.

The Contracts & Procurement Department is responsible for delivering (sub)contracting and procurement in such a way that services and supplies are obtained at the best conditions regarding quality, delivering time, price and HSE aspects in order to contribute to the realization of the company’s goals and strategy.

Function

The Document Controller is responsible for the quality of all original documents within Bluewater and for registering and distributing these documents on time and according to specified level of quality.

You maintain a controlled document retrieval system containing Bluewater, sub-contractor and supplier documents. You prepare transmittals for documents and returns reviewed documents and you check incoming supplier documents on completeness. You ensure adequate and timely registration, receipt and distribution of Bluewater, sub-contractor and supplier documents.
You report and advise the Project Engineer and Project Manager on a regular basis about document progress within the project. You check original Bluewater documents against Project- & Bluewater corporate requirements and/or standards and you will attend project kick off meetings and progress meetings. You set up, maintain and expedite internal IDC in conjunction with the Project Engineer and Project Manager. You prepare/compile the final documentation (Bluewater MRB) in conjunction with engineering if required.
Furthermore you keep knowledge and procedures up-to-date on all relevant aspects and share this within the section. You will report regularly to the Section Head Document Control on personal achievements and section matters. You support the colleague Document Controllers within projects and day-to-day-work. You use and maintain corporate standards and develop and propose improvements.

Requirements

We are looking for a client orientated candidate with strong planning & organizational skills. You have a good attention for detail and are immune to stress. Furthermore you have:

• Technical College: Administrative Secondary Education.
• Over 3 years in Document Control/Document Handling.
• A good understanding in English, verbally as well as in writing.
• Computer literacy for document control systems.
• Computer literacy for MS office.

Offer

We offer a fulltime, challenging position within an international environment. A market conform gross yearly salary, including a 13th month, holiday allowance and a non-contributory pension plan and a collective medical insurance.
